Creative Methods for Idea Development
Learn how designer can use ’distributed cognition’ to be more effective in their role.
Participants will learn to envision the context of use for their idea though applying the ‘story arc’ and storyboards.
Participants will map the experience of their idea and refine and consider implementation details.
Through a series of iterations of Design Studio participants will add details to their idea into a form that can be realised or tested.
The foundation for this workshop ‘distributed cognition’ and that we think not only with our minds but hands and bodies. In the workshop students learn how to start with rough idea and form into something that can that is more concrete. In a highly participate format students will use the Story Curve, User Story Mapping and Design Studio to sketch, present, discuss and refine multiple solutions.
