When I started working with Chris, I didn’t feel I had the focus on my career and lacked a direction I wanted to pursue.

Through our sessions, I’ve come to terms with balancing work and private life. I don’t feel the need to try to climb any corporate ladders or get fancier titles. I have started experimenting and found ways to bring more creativity into my life. Our conversations allowed different perspectives to emerge and clarified my values. This was valuable because it allowed me to understand how I felt, thought and acted.

Chris has a very open style and a way of looking at things differently. How he listens and questions stuff that felt ”business as usual” was powerful. His approach is something I think most people can relate to - sharing what he sees.

I sought out Chris for coaching to help answer the 'what should I be doing with my life and career' question I had been struggling with. He is a very gentle and attentive coach and helped me formalise my own values and things that truly matter to me. His style is always looking forwards with 'How can you use this new awareness?', but he also managed to help me unlock some long-running issues which have truly felt life-changing. 10/10, would be coached by him again!

We all experience some internal and external conflicts from time to time. Before working with Chris I felt insecure in some situations, and I was looking for a realistic perspective, consensus, and acceptance.

During the coaching sessions, I learned methods to use when conflicts occur, like listening to my inner leader and seeing things from different perspectives. I also gained clarity and self-confidence by defining my values. In situations where I feel insecure, I am now thinking back to our sessions, listening to my inner leader and leaving my "circle of control" behind - methods that make me more secure and self-confident.

As a coach, Chris is a curious listener and gives me a feeling of understanding. I warmly recommend coaching with him to every Creative Professional as he has been in your situation and understands the specific challenges you face.

Prior to working with Chris, I had mixed feelings about whether I am still suitable to work as a graphic designer since I have been away from the industry for such a long time. During our conversations, I found clarity that allowed me to generate concrete actions to move forward in my professional life.

Chris created a very trustworthy atmosphere that gave me confidence in our discussions. His approach was to coach the entire person, not just the career aspect that I brought to the initial sessions. I did not know that it was going to be such a big help for me, and would give me so much confidence. I have a strong feeling that it changed how I look at myself.

I would definitely recommend Chris as a coach.

I have worked with Chris as my coach during a job transition. The sessions have been very inspiring and insightful for me! Chris is an excellent coach: friendly, supporting and motivating. I left each session with a lot of energy. I can very much recommend Chris as a coach!

I want to give a shout out to my friend Chris McCann. Years ago, we met discussing Design, Research and Leadership and not too long after, he turned into a mentor and a coach for me.

I have asked him for advice and answers to my questions numerous times and certainly learned a lot. The most valuable learning over the years, though, was not answers but a realization. A lot of times, I already had my answers but was not able to see them or did not trust my own conclusions.

Being in a coaching relationship with him is like looking at myself from a third person. There is a lot of clarity once I gain perspective on a problem or situation. It lets me look a the scattered pieces of facts, perceptions and emotions in front of me and put them together into a surprising mosaic.'

If you're curious about coaching and what it can do, I recommend booking an intro session with Chris McCann. I started coaching with Chris when I was in a tough situation trying to figure out what I should do in my life. Chris helped me find and connect to my values, my inner strength and to start exploring more of who I am and what I want and need. Chris is a humble and inspiring coach, always asking the (hard!) right questions. It was not always comfortable, but what growth and change is?
Thank you Chris for starting me on a journey of inner strength and peace, and finding a purpose!

When I started working with Chris, I felt a little disjointed, not quite sure of my purpose or focus. My work in particular, lacked direction, alignment to my purpose and where I wanted to add value.

My experience of coaching was always positive regardless of how challenging they might be. Co-active coaching is very much conversational and subtle. Quite often, you’re getting coached without really realising it (if that makes sense). It’s much more about flow rather than a set of exercises and outcomes. Whether conducted virtually or face to face. The sessions worked well either way.

Through my work with Chris, I created and built a new foundation to move forward in other aspects of my life. Clarity is the big one for me. Since then, lots of avenues and opportunities have opened up. I’m moving forward with my ‘doing’ and developing my company on a solid understanding of who I am, my natural strengths and who/where I want to contribute and help people.

Chris has a very natural calming style. I think this is really valuable when supporting people with various needs. The balance of sharing out information, giving time to reflect, support with feedback on the work you’re doing and regularly giving feedback/honouring achievements. I found Chris to be extremely supportive and perfect for the co-active coaching method. Chris will help you find a way forward in whatever form that takes. He won’t give you the answers, the work you put into things in between the session is where the shift takes place. As with any coach, don’t expect him to wave a magic wand. Change starts inside of ourselves, with a brilliant guide by your side.
